Violins

by David LaLone

/

about

This is a song I wrote about hearing God's voice. I compare it to hearing violins being played in the distance. When we draw to the sound beautiful things happen.

lyrics

Verse 1:

I hear violins
I hear violins playing at my funeral
the bow and strings are playing me to sleep
or are they lifting up this frail shell of a man
to rise from the bed he lays
into the realm of the living souls

Verse 2:

I hear violins
Violins playing in the distance
Raising up a melody
Singing praise to the king of king
We are alive let us sing!

Verse 3:

We are his… chosen ones
Sons and Daughters
He is our portion
What more do we need?

Chorus:

There’s healing in his wings (repeat)
So reach for the hem of his garment

Verse 4:
I hear violins
Violins echoing down the way
Come into my father’s house, there’s always room for more
We’re throwing a party for you
Run into the streets invite everyone you meet
Bread and wine
Bread and wine what more do we need?

(chorus)

Outro:
I hear angelic voices
Like violins
Do you hear them too?
Do you hear angelic voices like violins?
